Haven't posted anything in a while... I was waiting for something big, like my new Bitchin' laundry room. Well, okay, it's the same old laundry room, but I did replace my water heater with a new tankless one, build new pedestals for the washer & dryer, and repaint the whole place. Thrilling stuff, no? I went to the 2008 NBL Gator nationals in West Palm Beach yesterday at Okeeheelee BMX and it was pretty cool. I got totally sunburned and still had a great time. This race was the last-chance Olympic qualifier for North America, so the 2nd half of the race was sanctioned by the UCI. Went to see the space shuttle Endeavour launch last night in Cape Canaveral. It was really cool to see, but some late low clouds cut the show off early and we only got to see about the first 30 seconds of the flight. New goodies! I got a bluetooth gps that allows me to use my cell phone as a navigation device. Nice because I usually have the phone on me anyhow. It also allows me to post where I am at on a google map. The little map to the left shows where I'm at in the world right now. Pretty cool, as long as I remember to keep everything charged up.

I'm in Washington DC right now for a demo called TIDES - a project to restore infrastructure to places that have been destroyed by war or natural disasters. I'll be here for 2 weeks total so I brought my bike up with me and have been riding around the area like crazy. I took a 'bike the sites' tour of the monuments in the area on sunday and I put some pictures up >>> here.<<<
